About Us: TerraNova
Terranova is a student-led research and development team based in Diyarbakır, Türkiye, formed by students of Bahçeşehir Fen ve Teknoloji Lisesi. Living in a region where environmental challenges and energy needs intersect has inspired us to focus on sustainable innovation rooted in real-world conditions.
Our work centers on the Energy and Environment fields, where we design solutions that combine scientific research, engineering, and entrepreneurial thinking. We aim to develop eco-friendly technologies that are not only technically sound but also economically viable and socially impactful. From concept development to prototyping, we approach each project with a problem-solving mindset driven by sustainability and scalability.
We chose the Conrad Challenge because it emphasizes innovation with purpose—encouraging young entrepreneurs to transform ideas into solutions that can grow beyond the classroom. The competition’s focus on research, business planning, and real-world feasibility aligns perfectly with our goal of developing technologies that can evolve into sustainable ventures.
The Conrad Challenge allows us to evaluate our ideas through both scientific and entrepreneurial lenses. It pushes us to consider market needs, environmental impact, and long-term sustainability while refining our designs. Through this journey, Terranova aims to build solutions that start locally but have the potential to create global environmental impact.
